AK-500 Anchorage Continuum of Care (CoC)

HUD FY26 Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO)

What is the HUD funding opportunity for continuums of care?

Every year, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development publishes a detailed notice of this national competitive grant process. The document includes what money is available nationwide, what types of organizations can apply, what types of projects HUD wants, how various elements will be scored, what rules apply, and how HUD will determine who gets funded.

A CoC includes shelters, housing providers, outreach teams, domestic violence providers, youth providers, supportive services, faith-based providers, healthcare partners, people with lived experience, local government, individuals and others. HUD does not usually fund each organization in isolation. Instead, HUD asks the CoC to organize the community, decide local priorities, review project applications, rank them, and submit one combined application to HUD.

The Anchorage Coalition to End Homelessness coordinates project applications and the collaborative communitywide application for the Anchorage region, what is known as the AK-500 Continuum of Care.

ACEH will provide technical assistance to organizations interested in applying for a local project grant.

Join the Rank and Review Committee.

We are seeking community members, particularly those who have recently experienced homelessness, to participate in the scoring of project applications. The Rank and Review Committee requires a commitment of about eight hours over 10 days.
